The Royan Institute of ACECR, in line with expanding its international activities, aims to establish a scientific network in the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) region and build effective connections with scientific centers in the region, particularly Islamic Republic of Iran's neighbors, to preserve and enhance the country's scientific authority. The Supreme Leader has repeatedly emphasized this important objective to national officials and senior managers. In addition to expanding collaboration with the academic community, this scientific network can play an effective role in the scientific development of students and researchers across the region. Another goal of establishing this network is to introduce the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other WANA region countries to the world, thereby creating the necessary motivation for researchers and scientists to travel to this region and share their experiences through effective communications.
The Royan Institute, in accordance with national scientific policies, aims to elevate Iran's scientific standing -particularly in the fields of reproductive medicine, biotechnology, stem cells, and regenerative medicine- by establishing the "WANA Scientific Network" with a global scope of activities. Through synergy in joint educational, research, and clinical programs among WANA region countries, this network will strengthen the status of this strategic region, which boasts a rich cultural, historical, and scientific background. By fostering effective scientific collaboration and designing joint research activities among leading institutions in member countries, the network can position this significant region -given its historical authenticity- as a major and influential global "scientific hub," thereby contributing to the restoration of its standing in the world scientific arena. The WANA region, most of whose countries are Islamic, has been unable to reclaim its rightful place in the world of science in recent decades due to unjust sanctions and restrictive international policies.
Since its establishment, the Royan Institute of ACECR has consistently placed strong emphasis on educational programs aimed at enhancing scientific standards and addressing the needs of students and researchers across the country, alongside its specialized medical and research activities. Guided by the principle of "Education Without Borders," the institute has prioritized sharing its accumulated knowledge and expertise in the field of life sciences by providing educational opportunities to both Iranian and international enthusiasts.
